The boxes must be cleaned every year to encourage the blue birds to return so the community has a substantial investment in these birds. Driving the main street through town and the surrounding countryside you will first see the boxes, but as you continue to look you will start to see bluebirds. Eventually you will discover that the bluebirds are everywhere. Stop at the Bickleton Ice Cream store for a hard packed sundae and buy a blue bird souvenir. See the largest carousel in the northwest at the Bickleton Park. This is a great road trip and requires 3 to 4 hours from the Inn.
